So, back to our lovely topic on RSPCA, eh?
Quoted from the official website itself - "Since its humble beginning in 1824 - as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - the RSPCA has worked tirelessly to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals. "
True? Yes, I agree. Unfortunately, animal rights here in my country is still not practiced widely. True, there
are now a lot of them that are aware of animal rights, but how many? And what would it take to make sure all animals live happily ever after?
Take this scene for example:
A little girl with her mother walked along the street. Suddenly, the little girl saw a thin, bedraggled kitten that looked as though it had better days.
"Look, mama! A poor hungry kitten! Can we feed it, please?"
"No, darling. That kitten is full of fleas and goodness knows what other diseases this mangy creature has. No, we'd best leave it alone."
"But mama, the poor kitten's starving! Can't we even help it?"
But the little girl's mother pulled the girl away. In the mother's mind, that kitten is something dirty and sickly. True, that kitten
is dirty and sickly. But it isn't the kitten's fault, is it? And why should the little girl be pulled away when she only wanted to help the poor kitten?
See? This is cruelty as well. Cruelty because the mother refused to allow herself
or her daughter to help the kitten because it did not look sleek and chubby like kittens in pet stores. Now isn't that unfair?
Oh yes it is...
