I am an animal lover. Even so, I do not know much about animals. Which is sad. All the same, I love animals, and I hate seeing these animals being treated cruelly.
I remember when I was young, I always get excited each time I saw a puppy, a kitten, dogs, or even cats. Yeah, so does other children. But I wanted to feed the animals. I wanted to cuddle them, no matter how sickly they looked. Perhaps it wasn't my best judgement yet, but heck, I was only about seven! Even so, my dad and mum would just pull me away and say, "Don't feed the dog/cat! What a waste on good food!" if i were to try and feed the hungry animals, or, "Don't touch them! They're not healthy!" when I tried to pet them. I don't blame my parents, they are thinking for my own good, after all. But still, I feel sorry for the poor creatures. So everytime I saw a stray wandering by my table (since I eat in a coffeeshop and it isn't four-walled, strays are able to weave in and out among the tables) and starts meowing, I would sneak bits of meat for the cat. True, some would be ungrateful and just turn their noses against what I offered. But that's their problem. Hahaha...I gave them food, mostly meat, but they just, well, look away. And demands for more. Tsk tsk.
Ah, ignorance is a sad thing. It only causes pain, anger, even the lives of the cats and dogs that wanders around aimlessly. How many times have you seen a dead animal lying by the side of the road? Or even right in the middle of the road? Granted, it would be hard to carry the poor animal without proper help as the decayed carcass might carry deadly bacterias. Still, shouldn't those whom are able to drive be more careful? Shouldn't they not worry about their cars and more about
lives? I suppose money is indeed the root of all evil. It infiltrates the minds of men and fogs their common sense. Sometimes, it is the fault of the animal itself for bolting out without looking. Even so, God gave us brains and we should use God's gift to help the animals. Should we not do so? *smiles*
